Feeling Healthy & Happy in Midlife – with Dr Phil Carson

Dr Phil Carson is a pharmacist by trade and an expert in diabetic care, specialising in natural alternatives to traditional medicine. He has orchestrated the health transformation of hundreds of people, and following a huge financial setback (thanks to the GFC), he has gone on to reinvent his own health, his business and his life.

His advice and insights are very much in line with the beliefs that I hold, that dealing with the root cause of health issues is far more effective than simply treating symptoms alone.

Through his medical practice, his fabulous book, ‘How to Live Until You Die', plus his coaching, speaking engagements and podcast, he helps people to address seven key areas in their life to bring back their energy and zest for living.

I've read his book and found it to be imminently practical. Dr Carson has a lot of wisdom to share, drawn from decades of experience both professionally and personally.

Since our conversation, I've started making changes in my own daily habits and have begun to feel the benefits already. His advice is very easy to understand and doable by anyone. He's also living proof that sometimes the things we think will destroy us actually go on to make us.

We mid-lifers are so often slammed under a multitude of pressures, and taking care of ourselves typically takes a back seat. It's something we'll ‘get to sometime…'.

My advice is to start taking small, manageable steps with your health. As soon as you see improvements in one area, the others will quickly fall in line. Dr Carson's book is a great place to start. It's instructional, inspirational and very relatable.

Finally, if this is your first visit to Midlife Tribe, you can get up to speed nice and quick by starting here.

I love Peter's show – he has such an honest and open approach that I really relate to and find easy to listen to. As someone in his mid 40's myself I really relate to Pete's info. It's refreshing to hear that you're not on your own in this chapter of life. Thanks Pete.
